We Care for Humanity (WCH) Founder, Maria Amor Torres is   in the midst of mourning due  to the passing of her biological father, Datu  REYNALDO C. TORRES.

Reynaldo C. Torres
Sunrise: November 7, 1943
Sunset: September 30, 2018

Reynaldo C. Torres was one of our great Filipino heroes. Friendly and approachable, as a defender of the weak, Reynaldo often attempted to resolve community issues and problems. And he proved it with his deeds. He served as Chief Justice of all Barangays in Montalban, Rizal and was a very serious man who was committed to his community. But for those who knew him, particularly his friends and family, he had a wicked sense of humor.  He was so popular in his home town of  Montalban that he could have easily excelled as a politician. But he chose to remain accessible to his friends, family and colleagues in the community.

Even at a young age, Reynaldo was responsible and tough as nails. He was employed as a chief mechanic, but survived several incidents that would have finished weaker men. He was shot and even stabbed. But his indomitable spirit and will to succeed kept him alive.

Reynaldo was loved by many and adored the presence of his grandchildren. Revered in the city of  Montalban, he will be sorely and deeply missed.

He is survived by his children:   Maria Leonora, Maria Cristina, Ferdinand,   Rizaline Irene and Eden,
his  grandchildren:   Krishna, Niles Kim, Kianna, Andie, Kurt, Christian, King, Samantha, Kairos and Reynalyn,
his sisters:  Ligaya, Yolly, Cecil and  Lolita.

Maria  Amor  dedicates this poem to her father written by Maureen Brindle from UK

REYNALDO C. TORRES
Reynaldo C. Torres was a great Filipino
As Chief of Justice, he was a super hero,
He was defender of the weak,
To everyone, he would speak
The  people’s problems,  he tried to resolve
So the courts were not involved.
Friendly approachable and just.
He dealt with bad people, as a Chief must.
To his family, he was strong and brave,
Love and encouragement he gave.
For perfection, he never strived.
The best we could be, we were his pride.
Everyone laughed at his jokes.
Everyone listened when he spoke.
His high ideals will always be,
In our lives for all to see.
So greatly he will be missed
His love will forever persist.

Reynaldo's final resting place  is at    Forest Lawn Memorial Park
Don Mariano Marcos Highway, Rodriguez,  Rizal

Maria Amor would like to thank Mr. Buddy Sampson for writing the Obituary and all the their friends and relatives who sent  outpouring love and sympathies during these difficult times.
