Last 16th of April, 2013, I recieved numerous emails with subject "We Care For Humanity" from unknown senders to me because their names sounded foreign to my ears and they're not on my contact list. In the beginning I thought they were junk mails and I was about to delete them, but something caught my eye, the name Tommy Karwur rings a bell... Then I started reading more and I found-out that these kids are his students writing to me. I've known Mr. Karwur as a journalist of BAKUPADA Indonesia, I didn't know that he is a teacher too. And what amazes me more is his initiative to motivate his students to learn about humanity and making a difference in this world. Way to go Mr. Karwur! You are a leader and role model to all of us.

As I read each and every letter of these students, I couldn't help shedding tears of joy and gratitude.. It made me so happy that these kids appreciate what we do in We Care For Humanity. Below are their letters..

Letter from Gervasius Timothy Wibisono

About the homeless people and citizens, i felt really sorry for them,as i were guilty. I never be happy unless i help them.Make them happy. My life always have no hope. But i will never give up.

I wanted to help them, but what should i do? I only just staying in my house trying to make myself amused as much as i can. I’m always feel myself guilty all the time, i rarely go outside. I’m always asocial all the time. Never spoke to anyone. Except strangers. I never chat to friends, they’re never tell the truth.

I always asking god,”What should i do?” many times. Still no answer. I kept asking, and asking, and asking until he answers. If not, i believe i will be useless. Or maybe he’s telling me that i should help them without his help. Helping all homeless without his help, doing it on my own. My friends don’t believe me. Fine. Il’l do it myself.

I’m different from others,i was a son from a rich man, but live as a country child. I need more activity. Others we’re lazy. As i we’re. I like child’s entertaiment (i like Cyborg Kuro-Chan.), Others are adults (I saw 6 year old watching parodies in youtube yesterday.Who taught these children violence?).

Do humanity need to be punished? Do we still have enough time to change and praise to the Lord? We never know. It’s God’s decision. We need to change. We need to help the homeless. And they need our help. They’re out there begging for us to help.

WE NEED TO HELP THE HOMELESS NOW.

Letter from Vania Tompunu

Helo Ms. Maria Amor!

I’m Vania, i’m 13 years old and i’m  from  Citra Anak Bangsa School, I want to support about “WE CARE FOR HUMANITY”.  I feel very sad to see so many people and children who suffer from hunger, disease, and homeless.

There are a lot of people who die each year, and the number was not little anymore , and the average nominally die of hunger, I am very concerned about the people who suffer. I really want to help if I have a chance.  I strongly support your profession and humanitarian organization to help people that need help, and I also support the event which will be held on 29 June 2013. Thankyou, God bless you...

Letter from Misael Soedjak

Hello Ms. Maria Amor. My name is misael soedjak. Im !3 years old. Im From a School named Citra anak bangsa In the Nusantara. Im Mr. Tommy’s Student. Im very excited about the Program for the homeless “We care for Humanity'’.  I agree about the program. Cause in my research the Estimated homeless figures in the United States range from 600,000 to 2.5 million

1.37 million of the total homeless population in USA are children under the age of 18. 40% are families with children, 41% are single males, 14% are single females
Source: International Journal of Psychosocial Research, 2008

Research by Dennis Culhane, University of Pennsylvania, followed thousands of homeless people in New York and each of them used an average of $40,000 a year in public services, such as increased health care.

They need are attention. And this program will is a Perfect Program for The homeless people. I support this program and all the other people in the Nusantara.

Letter from Mayang Hatika

To the honorable: Ms. Maria Amor

Hello Ms. Maria Amor! I’m Mayang Hatika , I am 12 years old, and I am a student from Citra Anak Bangsa School in Indonesia. I feel very sad to see the homeless in all around the world. not only the homeless, I also feel very sad to see people starving, victims of violence, jobless people and children are in torment.

So with this I would like to support the "We Care for Humanity" which will be held. Many people who can not eat with worth-it and can not even eat at all and ignored the situation by others. I am always happy to help people who become victims of violence, affected people starving , and homeless people living. We have to help them because they are human beings just like us too.

I strongly support this event may show to be held on June 29 later can run smoothly.

God bless you !

My message to you beautiful kids is: " I hope that you don't forget what you wrote today about wanting to serve humanity. May you always keep in your heart the promise that you made and may it serve as your guidance as you reach adulthood. Don't forget to thank the people who taught you how to be a better person and always have faith in the higher being regardless of your religion."

We Care for Humanity appreciates all of you and it's important to know that WCH is not made of Maria Amor only, WCH is composed of beautiful and kindhearted beings who have the same goal to give back to the community.

WCH humanitarian, Maria Amor, leads a cadre of performers to entertain the crowd, featuring artists such as Funkalicious, Mine is Mine, Chris La Vrar, Jon Benton MacKinder, K’Sandra, Isaac Hanna, Miss Lela Brown, Laci Kay, Athena Katalaris, Bittersweet, Geraldine de Fretes Williams, Melissa Lee Diehl, Natalie Kalamdaryan, The POK Band, Tetada Indonesia, Mother’s Movement, Brett Hunt, Aaryn Rose, Katelyn Hilario, and Olivia Jean Leigh Jensen, while philanthropic rolemodels Em Roberts, Sean Delon, Princess Harakawa, and Jesse JaM Miranda will act as celebrity hosts.

Abatex is a dumpsite community located in Montalban, Rizal Philippines where about 100 families are squatting for more than a decade. The vision of Hope of the Valley is to attract people and resources to assist in the effort of meeting the needs of every hungry and homeless man, woman and child in the valley. Through strategic partnerships and services, it empowers its clients with the faith, knowledge, resources and skills to lead a life of wholeness and self-sufficiency.

Food, clothing, blankets and other like donations are welcome, and along with attending city officials and political candidates, several fitness demonstrations and a beauty & health fair will also be presented to the public.
