October 11 marks the International Day of the Girl, a day when we recognize the fundamental rights of girls, when people of all colors and creeds commit to investing in the future of girls, and to end the war and violence that girls around the world continue to face and experience.
This International Day of the Girl is an opportunity for Americans and all women leaders around the world to reinvigorate and renew our commitment to increasing public awareness about the importance of according every girl the respect and honor she deserves and governments across the globe must do more to ensure that dignity is preserved. As the President and Founder of We Care for Humanity, and at the same time a woman cause-oriented person that I am, let me enjoin everyone to remind our world leaders for new directions that renew our commitment to ensure that girls are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. The investments we make in girls’ education, health, safety, and future will ensure to create a future that is peaceful, just and prosperous, not only for girls but for everyone.
