FEATURED VOICE OF HUMANITY

About Abatex

Abatex is a dumpsite community located in Montalban, Rizal Philippines where about 100 families are squatting for more than a decade. The community's source of income is mainly filtering the garbage for recyclable materials.

Sadly, even children from age 2 to 12 years old are exposed to this kind of work and are compelled to help their parents due to poverty.

We Care for Humanity officially adopted Abatex as one of its beneficiaries. Yearly, WCH visits this community twice a year to help transform their surrounding into a more livable, comfortable and sustainable community. There are about 100 children that are out of school, 75% percent of the parents are out of jobs and 60% of the community are children who are exposed to dirt and germs everyday.

The stench is unbearable and the poverty is even agonizing but the faith of the Abatex people is truly remarkable. In the midst of their excruciating situation, they first asked for a church to house their loyalty to God.

WCH'S  VISITS TO ABATEX

Cctober, 2012

October 2012, Philippines- During this trip, the president of Iron Globe Inc. Mr. Vardan Darbinyan joined We Care For Humanity founder, Maria Amor and Jesus Our Christ Savior Church (JOGS) to another mission to Abatex, Philippines. Iron Globe Inc. generously fed 100 kids, donated some cash for the construction of the community center and pledged to come back with computers and televisions.

December, 2011

Another successful mission to Abatex! This time, we celebrated Christmas, aside from feeding we also brought toys for each child at the village. We made sure, not a single child was left behind.

When we arrived, they greeted us with a wonderful surprised! They prepared a Christmas program with performances by the kids and at the end, they paid tribute to Exotifit for Humanity by giving flowers to yours truly. :) I was touched by their sweet gesture, the best Christmas gift I have ever received this year!

This mission wouldn't be possible without the help of my whole family: starting with Rizaline & Pastor Ariel, head of JOGS who organized the feeding and gift giving, Christina & Family, who helped in the production, Ferdie and family for logistics, my nieces and nephews for the inspiration and of course the BOD of We Care for Humanity: EM ROBERTS, MERCY ALPERT & EVA BARRY for all the support and effort throughout the year!

September, 2011

Today, Exotifit for Humanity fed more than 100 children and parents at Abatex and donated money to start building their own church.

Abatex, a dump site located in Montalban, Rizal where about 100 families are squatting for more than a decade. The community's source of income is mainly filtering the garbage for recyclable materials. Sadly, even children from age 2 to 12 years old are exposed to this kind of work and are compelled to help their parents due to lack of money.

The stench is unbearable and the poverty is even agonizing but the faith of the Abatex people is truly remarkable. In the midst of their excruciating situation, they first asked for a church to house their loyalty to God.

I, Maria Amor, Chairman and President of Exotifit for Humanity, with the help of “Jesus Our God Savior” (JOGS) and “Perfect Team” & “Perfect Creature” duly swear that the community of Abatex will have their church before the end of this year!

Exotifit for Humanity is hereby officially adopting Abatex as one of its beneficiaries and will continue to serve its mission to help other underprivileged people and communities like Abatex.

PROJECT GIVE LOVE ON XMAS DAY by Maria Amor & Family, 2010. 30 Bags of groceries: 30 Families, that's a good start...30 Bags of groceries: 30 Families, that's a good start...We're just ordinary family, nothing special, neither rich nor into politics. But when we have spare, we share.

The "Project Give Love On Xmas Day" beneficiaries this year are the people who dig trash for a living. The area where they live is called ABATEX, near PAYATAS where more than 300 people died & got hurt 10 years ago because of the trash landslide.
We're just ordinary family, nothing special, neither rich nor into politics. But when we have spare, we share.
